2 days down, 2 more to go until I can eat more “normal” food for 28 days.
So far, this is a pretty easy diet to follow. I decided to wait and weigh myself and take my measurements again once I’ve finished the 4-day anti-bloat period.
Breakfast wasn’t bad today at all. We slept in until 8:30 so we didn’t eat until about 9. We weren’t hungry again until about 12:30. Today for breakfast we had:
- 1 cup Rice Krispies
- 1 cup skim milk
- 4 oz. pineapple tidbits in juice
- 1/4 cup dry roasted, unsalted sunflower seeds
- Sassy Water
We packed a picnic lunch because we wanted to eat it while we took another look at the land we’re hoping to purchase soon. Lunch included:
- 1 low fat string cheese
- 1 cup steamed carrots
- 3 oz. chunk light tuna in water
- Sassy Water
Not the most delicious lunch, but it held us over until about 4pm. Hubby had the hardest time eating the plain tuna. I didn’t mind that, but I had a difficult time eating the carrots because I’m not a big fan of cooked carrots. I put cinnamon on them, though, which helped a little.
Afternoon snack was 4 oz. pineapple tidbits, 1 cup skim milk and a handful of ice. It was really good and kinda tasted like an Orange Julius.
Dinner was pretty tasty, but I did realize how small a serving size really is sometimes. We ate around 6pm because hubby had a meeting tonight. Dinner was 3 oz. grilled chicken (I added balsamic vinegar and tarragon…two seasonings we’re allowed), 1 cup of sautéed cremini mushrooms with 1/2 tsp olive oil, and 1/2 cup brown rice. We also had more Sassy Water.
About 20 minutes after we finished eating, though, hubby went to get dressed for his meeting. All of a sudden he called me there because his stomach had swelled to three times its normal size. I realized then that mine was even more bloated than it’s been too. Don’t know what it was in the meal, but our stomachs are both HUGE right now.
Tomorrow will be a little tricky because we have to leave by 6:30am to get to church by 7am to help set up. We really aren’t free again to eat anything until the service ends at 11am and then we have to tear down. It will be interesting to see how we abide by the rule of “eating at least every 4 hours” when the meal we’re supposed to have is turkey, cheese and tomatoes. We may end up eating “lunch” at 9:45am. I’m sure tomorrow night I’ll be pretty hungry since all our meals will be moved up a good bit earlier!
Also, I’m really craving a piece of chocolate or a chocolate chip cookie. But, I’m waiting to fulfill my chocolate craving until Tuesday morning when I can have a “chocolate cherry waffle” for breakfast. My mom’s doing this “diet” to and she had it this morning and said it was DELICIOUS!
