I just had my last meal for the day, and I have to say Day 1 was not that bad. Not the best or most flavorful food I've ever eaten, but I've definitely had worse.
The first four days of the plan are known as the "Anti-Bloat Jumpstart". You eat four 400-calorie meals a day that are spaced no more than 4 hours apart. In addition, you drink 2 liters worth of "Sassy Water". I was pleasantly surprised at how I felt comfortably full after each meal and was not really hungry even 3.5 hours later.
My biggest accomplishment of the day was consuming 2/3 of the pint of raw tomatoes. They actually were pretty good tasting. I would have finished more, but I was feeling full and I came across a rotten one in the bottom 1/3 that ruined it for me. My second biggest accomplishment was eating tilapia for dinner because the only fish I enjoy is salmon or tuna.
The sassy water wasn't bad either. The recipe calls for 1 tsp. freshly grated ginger, 1 thinly sliced lemon, 12 mint leaves and 1 medium cucumber peeled and thinly sliced. Add those to 2 liters of water and allow to meld overnight in the fridge. Personally, I left out the cucumber because I can't stomach those and the book said it was mainly for flavor not some anti-bloat benefit.
Three more days to go and then I've heard the food gets really good tasting. Some of the recipes in the book sound rather delicious and I can't wait to try them.
Thanks so much for the encouragement! It definitely helped me get through the day!

I found you through Kelly's Korner. Have you tried cutting out gluten? I was getting major stomach aches with bloating for a long time before I cut out gluten. I didn't get stomach aches everytime I ate gluten, so I figured it was something else. This fall my son was having tummy problems (I'm breastfeeding), and his doctor suggested that I cut out gluten. Both of our stomach problems have been solved. Apparently if you have a problem with glutten, you may go a long time without symptoms then they start to get worse over time. It's just a thought. Another good thing about cutting out gluten is it makes you lose weight fast. I lost all the baby weight plus more without dieting and only excercising when I had time.
